Shipping Example-Labels

CartonQty-Out comes from two places.

First choice:
CartonQty - this is obtained form the filter. There is a dummy filter called EnterCartonQty <> 0. The user changes 0 to the qty they packed -BUT LEAVES THE <> as is. This is because the field "EnterCartonQty" is pre loaded with the value 999999 - a highly improbable quantity so whatever they enter will never equal it - thus it is always True. The value they enter is then parsed out of the report filter text using:
NUMERIC(SUBSTRING(ParseFilter,StartFrom,4))
where StartFrom = INDEX(ParseFilter,'equal to',INDEX(ParseFilter,'EnterCartonQty')) + 9
ParseFilter is an aggregated (using minimum but that part doesn't matter) form of the report filter test. Must run thru an aggregate field in order to use report filter in a formula. Main reason for this option was last box on a release being less than the standard box qty.

Second Choice if CartonQty (from filter) was left as zero:
There is a standard carton qty field on the Part table (PartsPerContainer) so it uses this - assuming it was populated for the part. I think this showed up in 6.0. Prior to that I used a VB Form or UserField field on the Part table. Allows shipping people to skip the filter entry.

I was working with your sample label Box-Z and was wondering where the
"PartsPerContainer" in your calculated CartonQty-Out comes from. Is this
a field in V6.0 or V6.1, where is it located if so, and would it have an
equivalent in V5.0?
Thanks for you help.
