Mr. DaveO,
400 is no remedy:

Daniel,
I just reviewed the issue regarding number of packages in the BOL
screen on version 8.03.400 and the number does not update based on
what was entered into the customer shipment entry screen.
This issue is in development and I have not yet heard back from them.
Thank you,

Yikes! You guys had to provide a fix for Epicor's removal of
functionality?!? Were you compensated at the standard rate of $200
per hour?
Not knowing how to modify screens, we came up with a BarTender report
that gets most of the information from a query, and has the shipping
guy fill in the rest. Not even a band aid--just an open sore.
Our CAM said that Vantage is now sold only with the Pack Out module.
A mandatory optional module, if you will.
I guess the software developers were directed to code as though
everyone has this module. It certainly makes everyone wish they had
it! And it may just compel enough customers to pop for it, thereby
minimizing Epicor's inability to meet their projected revenue.
We've already spent more money in dealing with this problem (at first
wondering what we might be doing wrong, then on the phone with
support
persons who tell us to click on a grayed-out screen, the shipping guy
hand-writing labels & adding up packages and weights, making our own
reports, speaking with our CAM) than it would have cost to buy the
module. Who knew that Epicor would let every customer without Pack
Out run into this mess without warning or solution? If only we knew
then...we wouldn't have this Vantage problem now.
