Sales team wants a specific bit of text to appear on all Pack Slips for customer X. Pack Slips apparently pull most data from the ShipTo table. ShipTo has an nvarchar(500) field named RefNotes that’s already in the PackSlip RDD. I cannot find a control bound to it, however (could be in a module we don’t own??). Initial response from Epicor is to create a UD field. Looking for a second opinion. Thinking I could take a shortcut and just expose this field for editing in Customer Maintenance.
Epicor says it’s unused currently, but I should leave it be in case they decide to change that. Oh well.
