ShipViaCode not defaulting

Isn’t this supposed to default on new Supplier & new Customer from System default ShipVia?
2025.2.7

It does in 24.2.26. Both supplier and customer ship tos.

I assume you checked but you know Epicor will ask. You don’t happen to have a BPM or something getting in the way right?

We set default Ship Vias with a BPM because it’s not always the same. IE: You wouldn’t want FedEx Ground on a customer outside the US you only ever ship FedEx Intl to.

Thanks to your comment, I found our problem.

Turns out ShipVia defaults from ShipVia set on Country record of respective country set on Company Configuration.

I noticed a zero was populating in the Country field for new Customers.

Although ‘USA’ was displayed on our Company Config, when I dropped it down, ‘USA’ wasn’t really selected. Upon selecting ‘USA’ and setting ShipVia on Country record, both country and ShipVia now default for new Customers and Vendors.

Lol, we try not to ship things to FedEx via UPS. Not cool.

But I did not know about this; I’ll have to pass it on!

Interesting. Did this change at some point? In 24.2 we don’t have a default ship via on Country. But if I set a ship code as default in Ship Via Maint. it does carry over to customer ship tos and suppliers correctly.

Thanks for the additional info. I have no idea if it changed but suspect so since this isn’t our first refresh (still pre go-live) and I don’t recalling dealing with this before.

on both 2025.1 and 2025.2 SystemDefault check on ShipVia record seems to have no effect(?)
