Should I submit a Ticket to Epicor?

There is a few bugs, in my opinion, but I have feeling I’ll have to put a lot of effort into convincing Epicor of the issue. Should I take the time submit them? Maybe I’m off pace, but I feel like these are simple validation rules the BO should take care of. With more and more integrations working with REST, these won’t get caught.

  1. In Engineering Workbench and Job Entry, the BO’s allow decimal places, in the QtyPer field, even if the UOMCode isn’t marked for allow decimals. For example, the UOMCode “EA” is not marked for “All Decimals” but you can put 0.5 Each in the Qty per.

  2. The PriceList BO allows a negative Base Unit Price. The UI Control, Updatable BAQ or REST allows it while the Part Break Unit Price record doesn’t allow it.

  3. The PriceList BO allows a discount percentage greater than 100% or negatives on the Price Break record. The UI control doesn’t allow it but an Updatable BAQ or REST does.

There’s no harm in bringing those to support’s attention. Worst case, you’ll get , “Functioning as designed.”

Best case, “That is a known issue, use the following workaround…”
