Showing Revenue

The sales order lines are product group based so that the sales revenue
goes to the G/L account that the product group identifies. You cannot
split the revenue at the time of invoice posting. It would be convenient
but it is not available. You can do it by journal entry after posting
the invoice. You will also need to do it for cost of sales, cost of
returns and all of the rest of the product group accounts as the entries
are recorded.

Subject: [Vantage] Showing Revenue

Vantage 8.03.305L

We have decided to setup one Company with two (2) different Divisions
(01 & 10 on the G/L). We opted for this thinking it would be more
beneficial from a manufacturing standpoint. The question comes in
whether or not we can show 'Revenue' for both divisions. A Sales Order
can be received and processed completely under division 01. It can
also be received and processed completely under division 10. But, it
can also be received by one division with partial processing in the
other division. Can we show revenue in this setup.

I apologize, but I am not strong on the financials. I am trying to
pass along the question/concern.
