Slightly OT - Want to Mass Email with Vantage Customer Data

Another one we used which is free is MailChimp, worked very well for our requirements. You can create your mailing and import all the details from a csv

Vantage 8.03.408

We just completed an acquisition, moving us into a new market. I have extracted data from my Customer/Supplier Contacts (email) and I would like to do a mass email to these individuals with regards to the change/opportunity.

Anyone out there have a clean process or tool/application?

Jeff

Good Day Jeff:

If you send out too many at once, SPAM filters, both yours and
the customer's, will delete them. I am not sure what the solution is,
but have just read about the problem. One solution is to send to a third
party to distribute.

Len,

That is one thing I am worried about and part of why I threw out the question. Didn't know if a 3rd party application would address this rather than from our Mail Server. The other side is that this is really only a one time need.

Jeff,
I had a possible solution for you just until you said 'really only a one time need'. There is a mailing list manager I have used called DadaMail, author of the project has a Closed Loop Opt-In feature but you can manually enter data, works with mySQL so you could import data in the DB. It's not hard to use but might be a pain to install in your system. If you are interested - http://www.dadamailproject.com/

Couple of other thoughts after a google search -
http://www.icontact.com/
http://www.kristanixsoftware.com/emailsender/

Another solution would require VBA programming within MS Office and sending emails based on a time period.

Hi Jeff:
Â
Why don't you look at something like Constant Contact.
Â
You can buy the service for one month, upload contact information and keep this off your Exchange server.
