Has anyone else experienced 20-60 second delay in login at MES stations? Here is the kicker. If you open Tracing Options, Enable them apply and close, go right back in disable tracing options apply and close, you can then log in instantly no delay. We have tested this “fix” accross countless workstations and just to prove I wasn’t crazy @josecgomez and @EarlGrei have both seen this issue first hand. Anyone else? I’m at a loss where to start on this one.
Just curious, after you turn on/off the tracing options, how long does this ‘fix’ work? How long before it stops working? What I’m getting at is, does the MES station become idle for a spell before it stops working?
Seemed to take a few days. I couldn’t say for sure how long the fix lasts.
Do you still have a user that has this problem?
If you open their Epicor User Account in user account security maintenance, is UI tracing there on the UI tracing tab?
That thought crossed our minds none of our users have that enabled and it’s not really an issue by user so much as by workstation. All users experience the issue until the “fix” at a specific PC then it’s fine for a time for all users. And not all machines exhibit this issue at the same time (network path for them all is the same).
I have never had this happen up front in the office to myself personally, I’ve only been able to verify it in the plant, but MES is up all day out there so maybe it’s a compounding thing?
We wanted to run a trace to see if we could see why it was slow but then that “fixes” the issue. that’s how we discovered the weirdness.
