We have that, but wouldn't the users have to print every single

Since the Acknowlegement is pretty simple to construct you could create a separate crystal report mimicking the Ack using ODBC. Then put the ODBC report on the menu with a parameter of 1st and last Ack you want to print. Instant batch process, assuming you are going to snail mail them.

Just a thought,

Is there a way to batch print the order acknowledgements? Say I have orders 210-415 I want to print all at once as a single spooled job. Any way to do this in E9?

I haven't tried it yet, but I think APM only has the batch possibility to send out after the user prints (all invoices for one customer maybe, or a so ack, pack slip and invoice for one customer for example). Unless the Epicor process already has a batch function to print, the user has to print individually without a customization.

Hmm you may be right, I haven't messed with APM too much but I thought it
had batching capability.

Hello,

Yes, you can do this but there is one major warning.

If you add Epicor.Mfg.UIRpt.SalesOrderAck.dll to the Epicor menu, you
can call the report UI and be able to search and select the orders that
you want to batch together.

The issue is that the sales order acknowledgement report was designed
with only a single sales order being printed at a time in mind.

I tried to do a batch acknowledgement print job and discovered this the
hard way. I found several bugs that I had to fix. For example, the sub
reports are not linked properly so a lot of data was showing up on all
order acknowledgements as opposed to just the related data.

Once you fix the order acknowledgement report, this approach works
really well.

Holy crap man! That is so cool. What the hey! Couldn't they just have that
as a menu item right off the bat?! Now on to the Crystal Reports.. That's
still a huge time saver though thank you so much!

Wouldn't it be nice to see Epicoe add POs and Invoice printing to the menu someday too?
