Hello,
We are currently using a custom built integration from ATR Soft that is based on CustomTools & Custom properties on SW.
We have integrated part and part BOM to Epicor. Main reason to choose customtools and ATR was to build integration also to our document management system which is currently M-Files and that integration they had already made.
We push part data from SW to Epicor and pull that (object)data to M-Files Part object and save drawings in all formats to M-Files. This allows us to have same part structure in both Epicor & M-Files where the data is controlled in Epicor. It also allows us to see the relations in Epicor in M-Files.
We also evaluated CadLink but in our case because of M-Files we ended up to select CT.

Mika
In case you aren’t aware QBuild can modify CADLink to suit your needs if the standard CADLink doesn’t do what you want.

Hi Mika,
Thanks for that info. Compared to CadLink and QBuild, how long did it take for ATR to create that custom tools and how about the cost?
Hi,
I can’t open up the costs in detail because it’s confidential. But that much I can open up that it was competitive. We were the first Epicor9 integration they made and in calendar time it took way too long. Even so we did not get any extra costs of that.
When we upgraded from E9 to E10.2 It took a couple of days to get everything on place.
If you have special needs it could be a good alternative otherwise maybe CadLink could be the one for you. If you want to contact them to ask more details Mika Reinilä is the one who you can contact (mika.reinila(at)atrsoft.com).
