Solution Management weirdness

Hello, We are on 2021.1.13 :open_mouth:

I have observed something unusual when importing a solution for 1 Post processing BPM only.

When installing and using the settings

  • Remove Directive with matching name checked.
  • Both automatic overwrite options checked.

The log gives me a message:

[2/06/2023 6:36:49 PM] 3 directives for 'BO' 'Erp.BO.SalesOrder.MasterUpdate' 'PbsCreateJobsAndTransfersPost' have been removed for company 10POL

Why does it say 3 directives removed, when I am only importing. Is this just an Epicor idiosyncrasy and it says 3 because it is looking at trying to remove the Pre, Base and the Post?

If anyone has any thoughts/explanation on this behaviour I would be interested to hear.

@Hally Just did a test also with one directive and got the same. There are a lot of oddities with solution workbench, so I usually just test what I imported and keep moving.

@gpayne I have just had another report that functions are not are not editable after installing as a solution…I am yet to confirm that, but will later today.

So that was a really long day. :slight_smile:

I just tested this 2023.2.17 to 2024.1.6 created a solution from a simple function using widgets and it worked ok…
