Sorting on UD codes in application studio

Can I sort UD codes on CodeDesc instead of Code ID?
The sort field is inaccessible when UserCodes.UserCodesCombo is used.

Create your own without populating the first 2 fields.
Mimic all of the other fields.

I am not sure if SORT field is accessible irrespective of UserCodesCombo when default is selected. I had a similar issue. Adding BAQ to that combo box did it for me by sorting the data at BAQ level.

This is something that has always annoyed me. There’s no reason it needs to be read only. It should pull in the default values to make it work, but you should be able to change them after the fact. I made an Epicor Idea to support that:

This is something that has always annoyed me. There’s no reason it needs to be read only.

If this annoyance levels up any further, I’m calling in the big gun - stored procedure to sort it by Code Type Description. Pray for the database.
