But the data will come forward.

Also note that per Epicor's Publication, 8.0 installation guide,
Appendix E,
any VB forms created in 6.1 will not come forward in the 8.0 conversion
and
will need to be re-created in VB.net.

I have a test copy of 8.03 running and the customer set up looks the
same as
my live 6.1. i.e. the Customer header has a "No Contact" check box and
the
Customer Contacts set up has a "No Contact" and "Inactive" check boxes.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 8.X Inactivate Customer

We are currently on 6.1. My users would like a way to mark a customer
as Inactive. I think I've heard that Epicor added more Inactive check
boxes in master files in 8.X. Can someone with 8 let me know if they
added one for Customers? If they have we'll proably just wait and use
it. If not, we'll start now and use a VB form.

Thanks,

A kludge you can use now to pseudo-inactivate a customer might be to change the Cust-ID and append "ZZZ-" to the start of it. Ditto for name. Forces to the bottom of the search lists so people don't use them. Can be reversed too. One nice feature of the hidden CustNum key. Then mark them as No Contact too so they don't get mailing, etc...
