SQL 2012 stacked with windows 2012 R2?

Epicor has confirmed that they will ship out SQL 2014 per our maintenance agreement. Thank you all for the recommendations.

Back in October we purchased SQL 2012 along with Server 2012 r2. Now that we are underway with our upgrade, I'm reading in the guide that you must pair SQL 2012 with Server 2012.

Can anyone confirm that SQL 2012 WILL work with Server 2012 R2?

Larry

Yes it will work! I am on SQL 2012 with windows server 2012r2.

I had issues when using SQL 2012 with windows server 2008r2.

If this is in the context of Epicor 10, we are running SQL 2014 on Windows 2012 R2

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I am at the beginning stages of migration and we already purchased SQL 2012 Standard so I want to be sure it will work fine with Server 2012 R2.
Section 1.5 of the ERP 10 Installation Guide says that Server 2012 R2 should pair with SQL 2014 not 2012. So I want to be absolutely sure I wont have issues if I move forward. I have a message in with Epicor asking about this but no word back yet.

Epicor will get you the new version of SQL as part of your maintenance why not just upgrade? You didn’t source SQL outside of Epicor did you?

no, we purchased SQL through Epicor, I will see if they offer 2014. I just figured it would be a new purchase as it is third party to Epicor products.

Good you should be ok then so long as you have maintenance on it.
