SQL Service Pack 4

Lee,

We are running Vantage 8 and SQL Server 2000. We recently went from
*no* Service Packs to Service Pack 4. It went very smooth. The only
thing we noticed, and it may have always been that way, is that the
SQL Server appeared to be consuming a lot more memory. It is
possible we just didn't notice the usage previously, or that usage on
the server was lower, so we never consumed it. In short, it seems
that when SQL server uses memory dynamically, it will use all
available memory until there is about 10MB free, so that the paging
file is not hit. We didn't like running it that close, so we set the
Max Server Memory. If you run into the same problem, you can visit
this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?
url=/library/en-us/adminsql/ad_config_9zfy.asp

Otherwise, so far so good.

Cheers!

Has any SQL user moved up to Service Pack 4? If so, are there
any "gotchas" we need to worry about? I haven't been able to find
anything on EpicWeb. Thanks for your assistance.
