SSRS report "modified by" is not accurate

It appears that when a SSRS report (the RDL) is modified and then uploaded using the “Upload Report” in Report Style Maintenance, the Modified by field on SSRS will always be the user specified on App Pool Configuration.

For example, the first of the following two reports was one I edited by browsing on the SSRS, and launching Report builder from the browser. The second was one I modified with the Download->modify->Upload in Report Style.

I get that its the App Pool (and thus the user specified on the App Pool) that is doing the “upload”. But shouldn’t there be some record of which user actually initiated the upload in Report Style?

Yeah, I think due to the mechanism of uploading reports via the Epicor interface, there’s no way to override this. Maybe you can trigger something off of the process if you want to track it.
