SSRS Will Not Sum: WHY?

Dumb question coming up!! So, I have a calculated field coming from Epicor to SSRS and SSRS will not allow me to SUM. Ideas as to why? I really need this field to sum.

We need more than “It won’t work” to help you. What error are you seeing? what is it doing? what does your formula look like?

Take it to Excel and Sum it up, who needs SSRS.

Are you sure the field is coming through to SSRS as a numeric value and not a string?

Normally, I would but my boss wants this as report in Epicor for him to pull whenever.

Good point. I’ll check that out.

Anyone taking bets that once he sees a number he doesn’t like, he’ll want it in Excel?

Or stops running that report, and claims “There’s something wrong with it…”

@Mark_Wonsil and @ckrusen I get that all the time!:rofl::rofl: I created a report and the supervisor hated the numbers. So they challenged me and there were minor issues than when we looked into them, changed nothing! So yeah, I hear all the time how it is wrong. I just pull all the data and say here ya go, sort through it.
