Stock convert-is this possible?

Perhaps a simple question, but does anyone know of a way to safely convert a part lot of one part code to another part lot of a different part code?

Not sure what that is, can you go into a little more detail?

I am using E9 but it should be the same in E10. Material Management>Inventory Management>General Ops>Inventory Transfer.
Try that.

Just for clarity, could you provide an example of what you’re trying to accomplish? Are you trying to do one of the following:

A. Part XYZ Lot 111 > Part XYZ Lot 112
B. Part XYZ Lot 111 > Part ABC Lot 111
C. Part XYZ Lot 111 > Part ABC Lot 112

Example B is what I am trying to do.

I believe the safest way to do so, would be to create a Job for part ABC with Part XYZ listed as component material. Issue from stock and do a job receipt to inventory with the same lot number. Add one operation to describe the reasoning. I’m not sure how strict you have to be on having everything traced back at your company, but that should at least give you an idea on how to work it out.
