Strange BOM Cost occurence

Adam,

The Cost Adjustments screen reads and updates the Part Cost Table, which
Part Tracker reads the Part Cost Table.

The BOM Cost Report calculates the cost from various fields throughout the
system. Such as Subcontract Cost. Even if you had a cost in the Part Cost
Table of $1 put the Subcontract cost in your method was $2 when the BOM
report runs it uses the $2 cost from the method not the $1 cost from the
Part Cost Table to calculate out the Subcontract Cost.

I can not remember off the top of my head right now where the Labor Costs
come from, it may be Method plus Resource Group or Resource Labor Rate, that
give you the Labor Cost.

But the point is the report does not look at Part Cost Table for everything.
You need to determine where the BOM Cost report is pulling its calculations
from.

Our consultant imported our parts/BOM from our old system. Here is
what I have noticed.

In Part Tracker - General - Costs, we have material costs listed for
part XYZ, with 0 labor. This figure matches the exact total of the BOM
from our old system. I can only assume this data was imported.

However, when I print a BOM cost report for part XYZ, I have 0 material
costs listed, and labor amts. are correct.

So the question:
Where is the cost on the Part Tracker screen coming from? How can I
remove, or edit this information. Whatever solution, the BOM Cost
report and the cost tab of the part tracker MUST reflect the same
information.

Adam
