Strange Printing Problems 8.03.409C

The same issue started happening to us around the same time. I think it may tie in with some Windows updates, but I'm not sure. I haven't been able to figure out the issue yet.

A good example is the job traveler: we have a landscape legal sized job traveler. If I print preview it first, it will print fine. If I try to directly print it without previewing it, it will print on letter paper (even if I override the settings to change it to legal). This only starting happening about 2 weeks ago, and it is widespread.

Starting a couple weeks ago (possibly related to windows updates) we started having some weird printing problems from the crystal reports runtime.

On PC's where Vanatge is installed locally, we experience different behavior when print previewing vs printing without previewing. A good example is the job traveler: we have a landscape legal sized job traveler. If I print preview it first, it will print fine. If I try to directly print it without previewing it, it will print on letter paper (even if I override the settings to change it to legal). This only starting happening about 2 weeks ago, and it is widespread.

On users who connect to our 2008 R2 terminal server, we keep running into an error message that states: "Print driver host for 32 bit applications has stopped working". If we close the RDP, and reboot the local PC, then reconnect the RDP, it will work.

Both problems started happening at the same time (about 2 weeks ago). Has anyboy else seen any crazy behavior like this?

Do you have different versions of the runtimes installed on the local instances vs the RDP instance? We were running XI R2 SP6.4 when we were on Vista 8.03.

We are running XI R2 SP5 everywhere. However, if SP6.4 exists, I will go search for that.

Thanks,
Adam
