I tried the same idea with quote, opening different sales order through the context menu but it didn’t happen that way. It seems very strange the broadcast works once, but not the second time, and it only seems to happen on this screen combo that I have noticed.
I made sure both PO and SO screens were base only, no custom layers
I cleared ALL personalizations
I checked for any BPM’s on the sales order GetByID
This happens in both Pilot and Live, but not Education.
Similar issues to this go back to at least 2024.1 Kinetic. I have not experienced the problem as badly testing 2025.2 so I was hoping it was kind of fixed (multi-company dashboards still don’t switch company like they should on open with).
The whole Pub/Sub across screens is broken in 2024.1 as far as I am concerned. If a single user signs into two completely separate computers does open with on each, it will refresh across the computers. Print Previewing is similarly broken, in our shop we use a common Username so a print preview could pop up on anyone of 30 or so computers, so far as I have seen there is nothing that even holds a Computer ID, let alone a proper session.
The problem gets really fun with multi-company where open with will attempt to refresh all instances of the screen and throw errors that jobs, SOs, quotes, Parts, etc do not exist in the other companies.
I would assume its 100% a bug but since I don’t experience the issue in the education environment I feel like there may be something I can do to fix it, I just don’t know what.
I just followed your steps in my 2025.2.10 test system and am not able to replicate the results, mine seems to work without issue.
I do have custom layers on both screens and one of those customizations forces the removal of the landing page so I am not sure if that is a variable in this difference on top of just a completely separate install.
Just to clarify, you open ONE PO Tracker (not two separate ones) and do an Open With Order Tracker, then change the PO you are looking at and instead of it refreshing Order Tracker as expected you get the error? Another question, in both cases is the linked order linked to Line 1 of the PO, in my test both are linked to Line 1 (we do very little Purchase to Order so I only have one supplier I know I can open to test without making orders up)
