Try setting up a HP IIP driver for the HP 1100. We have had some prblems
with alignments on our 5N with the 5N driver but a IIP driver works fine. I think
it has something to do with fonts on the printer but that's a guess. Our
checks line up with the IIP and don't with the 5N.

What is the best printer that might have a .65 bottom margin for
purposes of printing reports? I don't want a 2nd page with 1 line on
it each time. We currently use HP 1100's, 1120's and 1220's. Any
suggestions?

Secondly, I have a local 1100 setup to a workstation. Everytime she
prints a canned report it is all out of line. I don't know how to
correct this. Any suggestions?

You second question sounds like a print driver issue. Try using a more basic print driver for that printer.

Does it print out of line even when NOT doing a print preview?

Gary I don't know if I am misunderstanding. Print preview is perfect. Do
you mean print directly and don't preview?

Lois,

Try printing without the preview. Are you using the built-in preview
program? We use WordPad as our preview program. The only problem with that
is that we have to change the font every time before printing or everything
gets out of line. The advantage is that we can make changes before
printing. Since this is only happening to one person, I suppose it's
unlikely that this is the problem, but it's something to look at.

Good luck!
