Sub-Assemblies and Product Configurators

When we set our quantities, it does have to be a decimal field in configurator or hard coded in on the rules in the BOM in order to set the feild. It looks like you are using the correct setting. Our rule is as follows: Set Field JobAsmbl.QtyPer = Qty (Qty is our decimal field in PC)

Hello,

Sub-Assemblies are driving me crazy in the configurator. We had a PC for a
part that was working correctly and then production wants to change a bunch
of mtls to sub-assemblies, which sounds easy enough.

We created a new Rev. and changed the mtl to pull as assemble, then I
changed the set field rules from JobMtl.QtyPer rules to JobAsmbl.QtyPer
rule. This is the rule:

Set Field JobAsmbl.QtyPer = (Decimal(P01_cmb_NumbBay))

But when I run the PC and create a job from it, its only calling for a Qty
of 1 of these parts not matter what P01_cmb_NumbBay equals.

Any thought or ideas?

Try it from a decimal field (updating from the cmb value)

I tried used just a number as a test (Set Field JobAsmbl.QtyPer = 2.00000),
but that didnt work either. So Im starting to think that Im using the
wrong set field, its like that PC doesnt know which Asm to set the Qty
for, i.e. Asm 0 for the main or Asm 1 for the 1st subasm.

Any other ideas?
