We recently transitioned parts from one our remote sites to our mfg site. We use quick jobs for subcontracts, however in our production environment the subcontract parts receive into the old remote site. In our duplicate of production test environment the parts receive correctly into the mfg site. Both test and production are identical as far as i can tell. Any ideas what would cause this?
Have you checked the site value on the release detail on your PO? Which site is the job in?
Yes. Its displays the correct site.
Maybe you can put screenshots of the po and receipt
Check the Default bin in the part setup for the original warehouse. It’s located in Sites → Warehouse Detail. If there is a Primary bin listed for the old warehouse, remove it and save.
Would that control which site its being received into though? I didn’t think it was possible to receive a po into a different site than it was created in, which is why I was curious to see screenshots of the PO.
What resource is the outsource operation using as its scheduled resource? What is the Output Warehouse/bin on that resource? Receipts for subcontracts can trigger a job auto receipt to inventory if they’re the final operation and Auto Receive is selected in the job/method. The job receipt to inventory will use the resource information and ignore the PO information since it’s a separate transaction.
Screen shots would help. I’m wondering if the method and the site for the part were updated. Something has to be different between Production and Test. I’m guessing it is somewhere in the setup.
