Greetings All,
Here's a strange one that I've not run into before or at least not
noticed until now.
Our facility in China is running with USD as the base currency.
We set up a job that has a subcontract operation.
The Purchase Order is in RMB.
When we perform the PUR-SUB transaction the dollars written to the job
and GL are in RMB and not the base currency. This can be seen in the
Inventory Wip Recon report. When the job is closed the MFG-VAR
transactions are still using the RMB figures not the USD figures. Up to
this point I am not seeing where the foreign currency conversion is
occurring in the GL. I noticed that the Production Detail report is
showing USD. However, the Inv Wip Recon report is in fact showing the
foreign currency as is the part transacton table. Either I'm missing a
step here or we have a big accounting problem.
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, almost forgot, this is on 6.1.
