Subject: 5.2 to 6.0 upgrade-effect on users

Can you say "culture shock"? I'd give them a chance to use the tutorial.
The screens have a much different appearance, and your people may be able to
cope. We're studying now, and will soon be doing the same move. I'm glad
we get the chance to do that than have to wait a stumble through it when we
have to get work done. At the very least copy your data base into a 6.0
test company, and tell them they can get their feet wet there. Not all of
the business areas are affected. I'm in purchasing and hear that I have to
wait until Sonoma becomes 7.0 to get some of the cool enhancements. : (
Just my 2 cents. A much more friendly approach.

Subject: 5.2 to 6.0 upgrade-effect on users

We are upgrading to 6.0 from 5.2 this weekend. Our users have not
had access to any training. I am told by the implementation guru
that there is no really functionality changes. He says the user's
will not see any major changes and they will pick it up easily Monday
morning. Does anybody have thoughts on this issue? We have had
problems in previous upgrades and I am concerned about this one.
