Patrick,
Your suggestion is such a simple, elegant solution that I wonder why this
had not been implemented already. However, the sales commission issue should
be addressed at the Invoice process, not the Order process. Therefore, the
table really should be something along the line of "InvcScom". If you look
at InvcTax, that would be a good model for commissions. Of course,
implementing in the Order process also, would facilitate the flow thru to
Invoicing.

I was thinking of a table separate from the salesreps like salesrepcom
which
would store the rep and their commission percentage for each line item on
an
order. Then when you were in report builder, export utility, etc... and
did
a join you would get a duplicate order line record for each salesrepcom
record which you could multiply the qty and value per by the commission
percentage. A single report builder report could be generated by sales rep
then sales order line listing their commission for a period of time. We
can't do this now.

Patrick - the sales reps are already in a table called SalesPersons. The
salesreplist field is just the way that Epicor decided to store the
information. I suggested a few years ago to have each sales rep with
their
own field SalesRep1, SalesRep2, and still have these fields reference the
SalesPersons table for the actual descriptions. I don't remember the
suggestion number and can't find my call on ERANET anymore since they
clean
items out past 1999. They never addressed it and it hasn't been fixed.
You
might want to amend your suggestion if this seems reasonable and I will
tag
our company to it.

Order Management
Move the salesreplist field to a table instead of a string of reps in the
field.
This will aid in report builder report creations.
