In timephase, I now see “Suggestion for SO” - usually showing to move the date of the SO closer - and I think it’s because it’s marked as Buy To Order and I have stock. Could this be what it means?
Can’t find any info on this suggestion…
If there is also Direct in the exception column then the on hand quantities are not considered for the buy to order.
Thank you – that’s what I thought….not easy to remove the Buy To Order flag though.

If it is a part in the system it should not be hard to uncheck. Does the part have spaces in front ?
Not sure what that means (“spaces in front”)….but there was no way for me to uncheck the release on the SO, so I added a duplicate release, with no BtO and deleted the original.

The user had pasted in the part number and there were extra spaces in front, so it looked like it was a part number, but Epicor saw it as a part on the fly which forces buy direct.
Oh ok…i think I know what’s happening. The inventory is not linked to the SO via BTO. So the suggestion is telling me to fulfill the SO via a PO. Thank you.
