We’re having a unique issue where a part is on a sales order, but showing no demand, nothing in time phase, but has availability.
The release usually looks like this when a suggestion has been created, but our purchaser doesn’t show that it ever came up in suggestions. I’m also wondering why it shows 1 available, but we have no transaction history for this part. Nothing comes up in Time Phase for the part either. Any ideas?
What’s the part settings? I see that it’s showing as Drop Ship, which is probably why it doesn’t show in Time Phase.
Any chance that the Ship By date is blank on the release? If it has no date, it doesn’t generate demand.
Is firm release checked on the sales order release. If that is not checked nothing downstream will start.
It turns out that a PO was linked after it was realized suggestions wasn’t capturing it. We figured out that we can just delete the line from the order.. We’re not 100% what happened, but we know it was a part on the fly when it was pulled from the quote to the order. It looks like the person who entered it, updated all of the fields, including BTO, right before the part master was created. I’m wondering if suggestions were run after the part on the fly was pulled in, but before they had time to actually create the master. It would have had dates already since they add the dates on the header before lines are added.
