I thought they were stopping at 409 and then forcing everyone on to epicor 9
I didn't know there was going to be a 410.

Not only is the Price List as accessed from Part gone, but it is also
dysfunctional in the Supplier Master file. Furthermore the RFQ process is
also completely dysfunctional in 407.

To fix the Price List problem a replacement dll is required and must be
deployed to the client files on each workstation. This is available from
Vantage Support. If you need more details contact me directly.

The RFQ process is not slated for a fix until 410

It was just brought to my attention that all of our supplier price lists
have vanished. Apparently this was first noticed shortly after we upgraded
to 407 which was months ago but no one has said anything to me until now.
Did anyone else have this happen after they upgraded to 407? If so how did
you fix it.

Crazy. It's things like this that scare me when upgrading to a new patch
level. Hence the reason I went live on 405A. Even though 407 had been
out for awhile.

Oh man, that sucks, but many of us are on 407A and never hasd that proble,. On the upside, I hope, you can grab the Price List, from the Import function in the Price List Maintenance, off of a backup you made of the database before you upgraded.
Â
I have a test server that I can manipulate to any version perhaps you can do the same. I have installed Vantage on a Desktop to grab things off of before. It was very slow and tedious but it did do the trick. With out a backup I am afraid the price list is gone. You may have to build another one in Excel and bring it using the Import function in the Price List Maintenance.
Â
Hope that helps,

We thought they were gone too, however they are not.

Go into Supplier Price list

Enter a Supplier into the Supplier field

Then search the part field - you will see all the parts for that vendor
that have price lists

Let's face it. RFQs were fluff prior to 407 as well. The Q in RFQ is for quote of price AND delivery options (unless your burdened with Epicor where it is only Part, Supplier & qty price break data.
No way to communicate desired delivery schedules in quote so no way to efficiently generate a PO from the RFQ. (useless!).
Another 80 percent (dead end) process solution form the brain trust at Epicor.
It ssems to be a patern that Epicor must break a process (even a near useless one like this) before a total rewrite in a much later future release results in a muvh better process.
If they trashed it on 407 it may be a sign that I will be fixed and made truly productive/useful by winter 09.
