We have created one schedule – daily at 1am. The only thing attached to that schedule is MRP. However somehow a bunch (427, to be exact) of schedules, all titled “Synchronous Task Queue,” have also been created.
Of the 427 …
None has anything underneath it (so no task)
The earliest effective date is 7/5/17; the latest is 6/28/18
They are all interval tasks with a schedule of 1 minute
All are effective
All appear to be running
Questions:
How might these have been created (aside from manually)?
Is there any way to figure out what it’s doing, if anything?
This is off subject but do you use any of Synchrono’s Sync software? I noticed in the title you used the term Synchronous and that triggered the thought.
We are looking @ using their SyncKanban product with Epicor. Just was looking for someone with any experience.
I always wondered the same thing. Dan did say above that, “I believe these come from using Kanban Receipts and clicking submit vs. update. You can delete them without issue.”
I contacted Epicor since we had 2,351 one of these in out System Agent Schedules. They could not provide a answer to what created them but did receive a Data Fix to delete them. We assume a background SQL delete of the records in Ice.SysAgentSched table. But instead of deleting them ourselves better to have an approved Epicor Data Fix. Ran the data fix and it removed all theses records.
Our case was CS0002508669 with Epicor if you need a fix and can reference this case number.
We had the same issue and found that the tasks were only created when the Kanban Receipt was entered using the Submit button instead of the Update button. We customised the form to hide the Submit button and haven’t had any issues since then.
