Task Agent LastActivity Time -4hrs off

Start Time: 8:39PM
Last Activity: 4:39PM

What would the cause be, should this be of concern and is there a setting I should be looking at?

Most likely UTC vs local time. I’ve seen it get wonky a few times.

We did run it at 8:39PM (local time) and UTC typically is hours ahead of us, not behind… thats what gets me =)

Are you on eastern time? It’s a 4 hour difference. Maybe it got confused and thought 8:39 was UTC, then converting to local it would subtract 4 hours. Maybe try scheduling something and see if it works ok?

Yes EST Time:

We did schedule it at 8:39PM EST Time and UTC would have been 12:39AM since it is +4 hr diff… but that one goes -4hrs back =)

Reproduction:
run a process that takes more than 5 mins. like maybe MRP check the system monitor and watch the job flip to the active tasks tab, for a split second it will show 4 hours behind
I have seen it on various tasks but mostly processes and not reports

Wanting to Know:
Why? and/or if this should be of concern.

What times do the logs show? And have you tried scheduling something? If both of those work ok, I’d guess it’s probably nothing to worry about.

Q1. What would the cause be
A1. This is an unintended behavior in the product (aka: bug :frowning: ).

Q2. should this be of concern
A2 Not at all. It doesn’t impact the actual execution of this process-- it just presents the last activity date via the System Monitor in UTC instead of the offset local time.

Q3. is there a setting I should be looking at?
A3. I believe there is an existing SCR for this. I’ll reply again after I’ve been able to complete my research.

Haso,

We see this too. It appears the start time is in our local time zone and the last activity was in the server’s TZ.
