Yes, i also have it. I have been using them for a while now. I know of a
couple of people that work there. That used to work elsewhere (hint hint)

Hi all:

I received in the mail a regular metal key with a tag saying "This is
not the key to your Vantage problems" and also a tag saying "This one...
just might be." attached to a business card from Katharine Barry at
Barry Consulting Group in Tiburon California (Analog (her word)
877.977.3400, Facsimile 415.789.9425, kbarry@...).

Did anyone else get one of these rather unique business solicitations?
Has anyone heard of or worked with Barry Consulting?

I also recieved this mailing. Looking at it logically, Its an awfully
expensive mail soliciation. Now if that key opened up a safety deposit box
that had money or a good bottle of scotch, or started a car or something
like that it might be cool. But those guys are in California, (YUCKY,
travel expenses) It was cute sure, but spam all the same. And my problems
with Vantage don't stem from technical issues they stem from short sighted
management and users that wont learn anything new no way no how.

Lee,

They are a member on the list, Probably got all of our addresses off the
emails. They have given some good advice to the group on some of the
problems though. It was no worse than any other mail solicitation. I really
didn't mind the mailer. They might have saved some money if they had
permission to post an ad on the list.

No, our contact information has not been sold, and will NOT be. Katherine
Barry is a member of this list, as are many consultants, and she has
contributed frequently and added much value to this list.

Many of you sign your posts with company names, phones numbers, etc, like
the post to which I am responding. If you're concerned about unsolicited
snail mail, please change your signatories. Consultants are encouraged to
respond to a post for help when they feel they can offer help; these posts
are to be off-list, direct to the party that posted. If there is ever a
case of unsolicited email (ie - you have not asked for help in a post to the
list) from a Vantage consultant associated with this list that is clearly an
advertisment for business, please contact me or another of our moderators
IMMEDIATELY and forward a copy!

We received the same thing about a month and a half ago.

Yeah, I got one a month or more ago. Where'd they scam the customer list
from?! (Not that I really mind well-targeted junk mail...)

Kathryn Barry was once an instructor/implementor for Vantage. She knows
what she is talking about. If you need assistance, she is good.

Barry Consulting has done some work for us and I will be using them again. I
didn't receive the mailing but I wish that I would have. I found them on the
internet.

I got one, but don't ever remember leaving my address on the list. It would take some work to go look up all these addresses, I would think.

Hi Everyone

I also received a "key" which is alright with me. I'll keep it for
reference. From what I see on the list the big question is how how did she
get our address and Mike said she was a valid particapant of the group.
This is fine her input is great. I also do not put my address on my
responses so my question is for Katharine - How did you get our mailing
address? No offense intended.

Have a great day
