Ok, the list has been slow of late so it's a good time to "Share" some of
the odd-duck stuff that we get.
Like this email with "Warm regards" from Carly ... ( nice to know she thinks
so fondly of me )
Of course the other story from this AM was that a lot of companies are
putting their HP/COMPAQ potential purchases on HOLD until they have SOME
idea what products lines will be killed in the next 12 months.
Hmmmmmmm
-----------------------------------------
We'd like to take a moment to introduce you to the new HP.
Today, we bring together two great companies to create one world-class
technology leader that we hope will earn the role as your partner of choice.
Hard work and the courage of our convictions brought us to this day. Now,
we're eager to prove we can seize the moment and lead the change in our
industry. Most important, we're eager to demonstrate that our passion for
customers has never been stronger.
We think this merger offers you important benefits. By combining our
strengths, we not only create the industry's leading portfolio of products,
technologies and solutions, we're putting an extraordinary set of people,
skills and processes at your disposal. We are now the leader in the
technologies that are essential to running your business: servers, storage
solutions, network management software, imaging and printing solutions and
personal computers. We have increased our research and development
capabilities so that we continue to make meaningful advances in technology
that benefit you. And we have strengthened our position as the world's most
innovative and successful consumer IT company, which gives us a unique
opportunity to help our business customers bridge the world between digital
content and commerce.
By joining forces, we will also be able to reduce costs and improve our
operating model, enabling us to devote more of our resources toward pursuits
that produce greater value for you - today and in the future.
While this merger obviously signifies change, we are committed to making the
process of integrating our two companies as transparent as possible. In
fact, many aspects of doing business with the combined company will remain
the same - starting with our unwavering commitment to put customers first.
Around the world, employees and partners of the new HP will make every
effort to ensure that your day-to-day interactions with the new company go
smoothly throughout the integration period - and beyond. In the coming
weeks, we will continue to provide you with more information on the new HP.
On behalf of the people of the new HP, we look forward to proving ourselves
and earning your business every day.
Warm regards,
Carly Fiorina
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
