Time change - this is weird

Okay My Version of MSVCRT40.dll

winnt\system32 directory = 4.20
Vantage\dll directory = 4.10.6038
progress\bin\system = 4.10.6038

I also tried removing the Check mark in "automatically ajust to
daylight....." I reset the server time, (taking it out set the time back).
When I reset the time on the server, the time in Data Collection and Pro
Control, and ProMon are saying the right time. Report Builder isn't. But
this is better then all of them being wrong. So thanks Sharon.

Let's check what version of MSVCRT40.DLL everyone is running. We
don't seem to be having any problems, on the Vantage server our version of
MSVCRT40.DLL is:

winnt\system32 directory = 4.20.6172
Vantage\dll directory = 4.10.6038
progress\bin\system = 4.10.6038
My time was off also, so I took the check mark out and checked the time in
Data Collection. The time was 2 hours behind. I put the check mark back in
and checked Data Collection the time was were it should be. After typing
this far, I just check Data collection again. It is a hour behind!!!!

We are having the problem as well, however, the time in Data Collection is
correct, but the time on our report builder reports is an hour behind. I am
on 4.00.904, Progress 9.0B.
v5 is running ok. Maybe this is the problem?

There hasn't been much good to say (in terms of bugs) about V5 so I'll have
to second that. v5 is working OK. But my computer based phone system
isn't, but that's another story. Thanks Joe for that heads up info. Looks
like that is the key to the problem.

This is just weird. I took the check mark out again & refreshed the Pro
Control. It has the right time. Report builder and Data Collection is
still an hour behind.

Nancy I just left the check mark off and ours is working find.
I agree! I think that after next weekend the "bug" will be gone.
Especially because Jerry Boyle said that he changed the date on his
workstation to April 8 and his RB reports printed ok.

You may be onto something, here is an article from TechNet.

Microsoft Run Time Library file (msvcrt40.dll)

Some applications that utilize this runtime library may behave

as if the current time is one hour earlier than the correct time

shown on the Windows clock. The problem will continue for one

week from April 1 through April 8, 2001, after which these

applications will shift to daylight savings time and again be in

sync with the operating system. The problem results from the fact

that April 1, 2001, falls on a Sunday, which confused a small

algorithm in the run time library file that checks for the start

of daylight savings time. This is not a year 2000 issue but rather

a daylight savings time issue. It could occur in the years 1973,

1979, 1984, 1990, 2001, 2007, 2012, 2018, 2029, and 2035. What is

common about these years is that April 1st falls on a Sunday.

Let's check what version of MSVCRT40.DLL everyone is running. We don't seem to be having any problems, on the Vantage server our version of MSVCRT40.DLL is:

winnt\system32 directory = 4.20.6172
Vantage\dll directory = 4.10.6038
progress\bin\system = 4.10.6038

I can confirm this also; Changing the client to April 8th, fixed the report
builder reports printed on the client to the correct day light savings time.
But be careful if you have OutLook running with a lot of reminders for next
week. <grin>
