Time Phase Inq.field differences

Well, I think I might be getting closer. I found a 999 leadtime in the sugpodtl table. Purchasing says that probably comes from MRP. Does anyone know what MRP would look at to give the 999 lead time in the sugpodtl table? I have never dealt with MRP and am totally clueless on how it works.

Thanks for any help!!

Regards,

Kurt

But then I looked again at the Time Phased Screen and now the Lead column shows 0 for the parts Purchasing said had the 999 day lead. So, I'm not sure what or why. I'm going to check with them to see what might have changed or run recently. Something put the 999 in there, but I'm not sure what. I guess Vantage does some strange things sometimes!!! Thanks again for your help and if I do narrow it down, I'll let you know.

The purchase order will have a value, the supplier price list and the part plant so I just assumed there was a problem in the calculation and ignored it. Interesting that you have 999 instead though. I checked a few other places to see if there was a default somewhere that I was missing, but couldn't find anything. Do you use 999 as a default value on any of your other part plant records, by any chance?

I see that the text box ties in to the PartPlant table, but the TimePhas view, and I can't seem to see where the view gets the data from. The text box has 10 days and the grid has 999. Can anyone help?

Hi everyone,

It was brought to my attention and I can't figure it out (actually, I don't use this screen), but there is a difference on some (not all) parts in the Time Phased Inquiry in the 'Lead Time' text box in the top portion of the screen and the 'Lead' column in the lower grid. I see that the text box ties in to the PartPlant table, but the TimePhas view, and I can't seem to see where the view gets the data from. The text box has 10 days and the grid has 999. Can anyone help?

Another question is....is there a way to track where data comes from in these cryptic views? They seem to pull data out of thin air since they don't look (as far as I can see) to tie to any specific table/field.

If it helps...we are on 8.03.405.

Thanks in advance for any help1!!

Kurt
Hi Kurt,

We're also on 8.03.405 and the 'Lead' column is always 0 for us.

Kirstin

Hi Kirstin (I spelled it right this time...sorry about that)

I started to look around at different tables this morning and didn't see anything. But then I looked again at the Time Phased Screen and now the Lead column shows 0 for the parts Purchasing said had the 999 day lead. So, I'm not sure what or why.
