Time Phase Material Requirements Report - SearchWord Filter

You cannot filter the report in advance like adding the filter to the parameter screen before printing or previewing the report. The solution you said about setting the filter inside the SSRS dataset is what you would need to do. 

If you need this just for few customers like 4 or 5 customers, you can replicate the style 4 or 5 times then pick the report style you need.

I am trying to add a filter to the TPMR report and I am a little stuck.  I looked at the Report Data Definitions and cannot really understand what they are doing on this report.  I guess the tables listed are temp tables (tphse and lotdim).  I am thinking that I need to add the part table to this RDD to get the SearchWord.  Once I add that, I was planning to use a parameter on the SSRS report copying their standard version and making a new report style.  It seems this would mean running the report for all parts and then filter after run and right before displaying results.  This is not very efficient, but I think it will work.
 
If anyone has done this or something similar, I’d like to compare notes.
 
[Background info: version 10.0.700.4, SearchWord for us = CustomerID – in most cases]
