Hi
Thanks for the tip. I believe that my guy Norm has spent a few hours with
Ben. Good answer.
Apparently we have been there.
The problem seems to be one similar to divestiture. In that I mean, at each
step we (including the person in question) can prove to us that the problem
is not related to their own product, be it Microsoft, Epicor, Progress,
Intel, CMC, Wilbrecht, or whoever. I am seeking the key to figure out why,
in our setup, memory is allowed to process using PIII but is hogged to the
point of uselessness using the P4 with Progress.
The question asked is what is it that needs fixing. The problem with
divestiture is we spend our time finding out all the things it is not. It
is way too frustrating and time consuming to prove the product is
functioning as designed, when in fact the end result of all the perfect
products. that are deemed to be compatible, is unacceptable.
