Tooling Inventory

We have put our tooling BOM in Vantage and purchase to those part numbers. I
don't inventory or issue the tools to jobs with Vantage. What it is great
for is Where is it used?, Purchasing History, etc... Some tools we cycle
count then run inventory onhand reports just to get rough ideas what
inventory in on the shelf.

I used the standard user defined fields like character 01
Date 01 etc etc

All I want is a place to take my old corrupted M$ access data base
and put it into vantage
SO when the guys on the floor are making a part, they can pull up
this database and say Oh part # such and such is used to make this
part and possibly display it
I have aobut 12 fields I need
Couple of them are date fields, a couple general text would work etc

Thanks

Quick question for you all
I have created a form in the Forms Design to keep track of all our
tools
I used the part file because of the extra fields that are avalaible
How do I tie this form into a menu structure?

Thanks

If I understand What you've done, Your options are to use part tracker/part
master, find the part then pull up the individual part and click the VB
forms button. We've done the same thing and set catagories. If you are
looking for a single button click to take you to vb forms, there isnt any.
I don't see any way of getting there except through the available PART links
and or reports.

What types of fields did you create in VBFORMS for tooling that were not
already available in the part master file?
