Top Level Components

How are your product groups or part classes set up? All of our top level
componenets have a part class with a "finished goods" designation. There
are several finished goods part classes depending on the type of component,
so that gives us the flexibility to run a report for the top level parts
for just a certain type of parts, or for all the parts with a finished
goods designation.

Is there an easy way to list out all our top level components? I want all components that are considered finish goods? Is there a way to do this?

Thanks,

Jasper

Try the JobAsmbl table, AssemblySeq = 0 (zero), Vantage
defines the top assembly with zero.

Hopefully that is the direction you wanted to go in.....

Is there a way to do it with just looking at non-stock items? Because even
a subassembly part would need to be set up as a 0 assembly part initially so
you can include it into the parent part as a subassembly.
