Total Line Weights To Display on Quote/Order Entry Screens

Hi - Thanks for your help.

It seems all well and good, but we are just staritng out with Vantage and it all seems a little over our heads.

Does anyone have a step by step guide on how to do this in Vantage? I need the weights on the Quote Entry and Order Entry screen.

I then need to take the field and add it to the Crystal report for Invoice, Quote etc.

Wouldn't you have thought that vantage would do this already?

I'm about to post another topic of how we can get the Customer Ship To address displaying on Crystal for a Quote.

Thanks,

CHRIS THOMPSON

I use a subreport that pulls weight and dimensions from part master, main report stores the return weight in a variable.

Here is we do. When the quantity field is validated it multiplies
it by the part.netweight. You will need to create a foreign key
fiew for this to the part table. It then saves it on the line and
also on the header. If they create another line it does the same
thing but then it adds the second amount to the header and saves
that new value. We do this both on the quote and order.

My company has a requirement to display the total line weight and then a total order weight on the Quote/Opportunity Entry and Sales Order Entry screens.
Â
In theory, it sounds easy:
Â
Take the Part.NetWeight figure, and multiply it by the Line Qty figure.
Â
Then have a box on the page that is the sum of all of the line totals.
Â
Has anyone done anything similar to this or does anyone know where to start?
Â
We are new at all this and need it in place before going live.
Â
Thanks,
Â

Did you end up getting any response on this? We are in the process of
doing the same thing. Thanks
