We are having an issue when creating Accounts Receivable credit memos in 4 out of 5 Epicor companies we've tested in our system. When a CM is posted in CPI001, TranGLC records are created for all lines on the CM (Receivables context, Returns context, and Tax context(when applicable); see attached screen shots). This is what we expect to occur.
However, in company CPI002, CPI003, CPI004, and CPI007, one of the TranGLC records is not being created. We see the Receivables context and the Tax context, but not the Returns context. There are no error messages resulting from the CM posting and no Review Journals are created, and we believe that the ledger is being hit correctly. We are having a problem with our reporting and querying due to the missing TranGLC records, however.
We have reviewed and compared all Company setup configurations, GL Controls related to AR Account type, and verified the same revision of the STD posting rules are in place in all companies. We also performed testing to ensure that the transaction is procedurally being entered the same way in all companies. We cannot find what is causing company CPI001 to behave correctly, while all the others are not. We need assistance in identifying the root cause of this problem.
