We’re currently testing the implementation of exchange on a monthly basis in Epicor. We’ve set up any accounts that will have multi-currency transactions with a gain, loss, and accrual account and set them to multi-currency. When I first tried to post an Accounts Payable and Invoice, and an Accounts Receivable invoice, I received the following error, “Transaction currency is specified, but does not conform to currency account definition COACode [CompanySpecific]COA epicor”, with reference to the expense account / received not invoiced account in the transaction. The error was found in the review journal. After cancelling the transaction through the review journal, I then re-posted them with success. Now when I go to run the Currency revaluation Report on A/P and A/R USD currency transactions (we are a Canadian company so this is our foreign currency), I receive the same error in the review journal, after about 10 minutes of the process running. But again, when I cancel it through the review journal and run the Currency revaluation again it works with no errors and I can validate that the accounts were re-valuated. Is there an issue with my set up possibly or is this just a glitch that’s going to happen the first time an account is used in a transaction with USD currency?
(sorry I don’t have an image with the error code since I cleared them without thinking to capture them)
