Trying to get MtlTag to change orientation to landscape

Hello,

I was asked to change orientation of custom created MtlTag from portrait to landscape so I can increase font size some.

The label size is 4w x 6h.

I have tried changing report property orientation to landscape, no help.

I tried the printer preferences to landscape, no difference.

Any ideas on what controls the orientation of a ssrs report being sent to zebra label printer?

Couple of new tidbits.

If I preview it and use foxit, it prints landscape fine.

If I modify the Client Page setting from:

Landscape: (not checked)
Paper Height: 400
Paper Width: 550
image

To this:
Landscape: (checked)
Paper Height: 600
Paper Width: 400
image

It prints fine.

How to I set the default for the client printer settings?
Where are they set up at?
Where does it pull these values from?

I am kind of circling the same question, just trying to figure this out.

Any help is truly appreciated!

I just kept trying different things and something worked.
Not sure what.
May have been changing the report size.

Anyways, this seems to be working now.

Sadly, this is generally how my experience with SSRS labels goes.

The biggest tip I would generally give here is that drivers can make a world of difference. I will usually use the Seagull ones, but I’ve tried a variety when it won’t do what I want.

If the label requires more than just a simple modification, I would really suggest Bartender although that could create other concerns, not the least of which might be $.
