Two Production Instances on the same App Server

Hi all,

My company is currently in the process of acquiring another company and incorporating them into Epicor.

We are currently exploring the option of adding them into our production instance and becoming a Multi-Company environment. However, our current environment is heavily customized, so we are considering the idea of spinning up a separate instance/database for this company.

I am curious if anybody has any experience of running two Production instances on the same App Server, and if there are any major downsides or unexpected issues that could arise from doing so?

Appreciate any feedback!

Works fine we run anywhere from 4 to 7 different app servers in a single web server

Just make sure you have the resources

I just went thru this and the second company can’t share your licenses if they are not in the same database.

Otherwise I don’t see technical or load issues. I have 5 instances on my test pilot server and it has no issues even with a lot of users testing.
