Two questions about version 8

We are about to Go Live and bought CRM originally. We decided that CRM did
not give us any real value in our environment so we are not implementing it.
I contacted my sales rep and wanted to see if I could get a credit for it
towards another module. He informed me that CRM, and Help Desk for that
matter, was bundled into Quote\Estimating module as they were developed and
it is not really a separate module. So we have decided not to license it in
our Live DB.

The point being it is not "required" but if you purchase the
Quote\Estimating module you should have it if you wish to turn it on.

Gang of '8ers'

A) Does vantage 8 'require' the use of the CRM module? Is it 'built-in
'?
B) What version of Crystal Reports is required when moving to Vantage
version 8?

TIA

CRM is separately licensed, so you don't have to have CRM. The setup ( like Customer, territory etc) are available in Order management. But it will be better to confirm with sales rep.

You will need Crysal XI runtime ( release 2 , if you going to 808 or above ). For report creations, Crystal 10 will work.

It is *not* built-in. The bad part about that is that work-flow (Tasks, task
sets, etc.) seem to be tied to CRM and it really should be used through out the
system.

For performance reasons, I believe they want you on Crystal XI Release 2.
