What are you using for log ins? Is it just the User Account or IdP/something else?
I looked but did not find one. It was more a question to see if someone else knew.
user account with windows authentication.
Have you got your EpicorData folder shared with the permissions set correctly for the IIS_IUSRS group?
They should be
- Permissions: Change (Allow), Read (Allow)
- Security: Full control (Allow)
Just another thought.
and another thought,
What is the output path of the BT file? and the location of the BWT file?
And this time I am really signing off…
Atul,
Did you ever figure this issue out? We are testing for an upgrade to 2024.1 and are getting a “Rendering Report” status on all our Auto Print SSRS reports.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for bringing this post back from the dead
Blake
Hey Atul,
There is no error when the auto print submits via data directive, but instead the SSRS report gets stuck in Active Tasks with “Rendering Report” as the Activity message.
A note: This data directive does attempt to send to a Network Printer, so we are looking into whether this could be part of the issue.
Let me know if any ideas, thanks!
Auto Print SSRS stuck in Active Tasks
Does log have any information?
Does it error out or its stuck there?
There are no logs or errors, it just gets stuck there and will stay in an Active state.
Blake,
And other reports get created fine? Just auto-print that’s stuck in rendering?
Hey Andris,
Other auto print actions were working such as EDI generation, we were only receiving the Report Rendering message for SSRS reports. All of which used Network Print…
The reason I use past tense in the previous paragraph is we have figured out that the reason we were seeing “Rendering Report” had nothing to do with 2024.1 and the Auto Print BPM/Function, but instead was tied to our new upgrade app server not being able to communicate properly to our print server and printers. Any communication with a printer would “hang” on the app server, so the Auto Print function created the pdf, and was stuck rendering the report to the printer. We had to adjust a registry setting to allow our GPOs and communication to printers to work correctly, and then auto print worked like a charm.
Thanks to all for the help!
Blake - Glad you got it fixed. It’s crazy how complicated everything is. One small setting out of thousands!
