Is there any way that an unfirm job can be created by MRP is qty bearing is false?

We are discussing if an unfirm job can be created via MRP or another method and what settings dictate that - nonstock, qty bearing and make direct on sales order

No. I hate it.

MRP and make-to-order

If a part is Non-stock = TRUE Qty-Bearing = FALSE Then “Process MRP” is grayed out and not checked. Specifically it’s because of the qty-bearing flag. But my point is, if this is how I want the part to be - a part we do not want to stock but might still sell - then I just shot myself in the foot if I want MRP to make jobs for the part (and demand for the components). I’ve known this in the back of my mind, but I am just now seeing the ramifications of it. Ugh. I have hundreds of parts that…

And this (below) is a lie - I mean we do this anyway, and it makes sense (kind of), but the system is designed to need qty-bearing to be true for MRP to be happy.
