Uninstalling 3.0

Sarah
I'm going to assume you're removing Proress 8.3 from the server. To
do that go to Start/Programs/Progress 8.3/Uninstall on the server.
Now the way I know that is that I haven't removed Progress 8.3 yet.
I'm waiting for that long weekend when I have a full backup and the
time to reinstall if things go wrong. Maybe I'm just paranoid but...

I'm very behind here. We went live on 4.0 back in July, but we never
uninstalled 3.0. We wanted to make sure everything was good with 4.0 first.
I meant to do it the following week, but never did.

Anyway, now I want to uninstall 3.0, but I do not want to accidentally mess
up anything in 4.0. I re-read the instructions in the 4.0 install guide for
uninstalling 3.0 and it says to stop the progress 8.3 server and procontrol
utility (which I did) and then to 'Select the Uninstall icon from the
Progress 8.3 DB server program group'.

The only uninstall program I can find in the old dwc drive is in the Vantage
folder and is called UnVntg.exe. Is this the one I should run? I just want
to make sure I will not inadvertently hurt anything in my 4.0 install.

Thanks!
