Has anyone solved the problem of having your "Customer" be a contractor and
having your product installed at another location? Later the site becomes
your current and long-term customer. Do most people just use a VB form to
gather the info and then use Crystal to display? Any thoughts are
appreciated.

Hi,

I am trying to create a report for management that gives customer
name, address, etc/sales rep/ship-to-name, address etc/and last order
date. I have successfully linked customer and last order date by
joining customer to orderhed on company, and creating a aggregate
field called lastorderdate. However, if ship-to address differs from
customer address (sold-to) how can I pull this from the ship-to
table, so the report will display both customer address and ship-to
(assuming they are different)?

Mark Smith
Try a left outer join to the Ship To from Customer, Your link fields are
Company, Customer ID, and ShipTo Number. Create a group for customer, and
shipto, (Customer group1 and Shipto Group2) On the line for the ShipTo set
Conditional Print to "Print when field has contents and select a field from
the ShipTo table.)

Mark,
Go into the border, to the left of your data fields, where its labled,
"Record" "Page Header" etc. Right Click on any bandline Select "Band Line"
from the dropdown list. Click the Radio Button, "Different Type", then go to
the drop down any you will see band line types labled with the GROUPS that
you've created. They will be in the order of precedence that you setup in
groups. You have a choice of Header Or Footer band lines. Select your
customer then select your shipto header bands. Don't worry if you select
them out of order they go in in the right order regardless. Then put your
Customer fields up in the customer band line, and your ship to's in the ship
to band lines.
